What’s the story?
This beautiful Brazilian has all the sweetness you could ever want from a coffee. As we were tasting the coffee as a team we were calling out flavour notes trying to hone in on the flavours. Peanut brittle. Florentines,Tiffin (which caused its own discussion as to what it actually is, fridge cake consisting of dried fruit and chocolate was the consensus) , all came up. Think smooth milk chocolate coating sweet dried fruit and candied nuts and you’re on the way!
Through milk the chocolate notes are enhanced, the nutty and golden raisin sweetness of the espresso combining with milk beautifully.
The Mogiana region, which runs along the São Paulo and Minas Gerais border, is home to some of the most consistently sweet and well-structured naturals produced in Brazil.
We use this coffee as the base for our Barnraiser and 60/40 blends, giving them their buttery chocolate base. But it’s also a delicious coffee in its own right.
A fudgy sweet Brazilian coffee is a beautiful thing. Specialty coffee from the best growing regions offer a delicious balance of sweetness, nuttiness and gentle hints of soft fruit acidity. We take great care in choosing the right one, as these coffees form the base of our best selling house blends.
This coffee is part of the Cafe Delas project, an initiative to support women coffee farmers in Brazil. Café Delas was created to help women farmers access the resources, knowledge and voice they need to grow their operations to the fullest potential
Since 2015, the Cafe Delas project has been working in gender equality projects in Brazil, training women to improve the yield and quality of their coffee and empowering them through workshops and events. Cafe Delas coffees have all come from women farmers, with multiple checks to ensure that women have had a direct hand in the coffee production process, and that they are paid accordingly.
This super smooth and classy Brazilian coffee therefore has a pioneering edge that makes it taste even sweeter!
